ING HIRES WESTPAC VETERAN TO HEAD SINGAPORE BRANCH

Anand Sachdev has been appointed as branch manager of its Singapore operations,
while incumbent Erwin Maspolim will cover Indonesia and Vietnam as head of
Southeast Asia representative offices.

ING Bank has hired Westpac Bank veteran, Anand Sachdev, as branch manager of its
Singapore operations.

Sachdev (pictured right) takes over the role held by Erwin Maspolim (pictured
left), who will cover Indonesia and Vietnam as head of Southeast Asia
representative offices.

Both of them will report to Anju Abrol, head of wholesale banking, Apac, and the
appointments will be effective from 21 June.

Sachdev was previously Westpac Bank’s chief executive officer for Singapore and
chief operating officer for Asia since 2017.

He joined the Australian lender in Sydney in 2005 and held senior roles across
Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands, before relocating to Singapore in 2013.

‘Anand’s solid experience and track record will strengthen our capabilities and
support for our Apac growth strategy,’ said Abrol.

In his new role, Maspolim will focus on strategically defining and growing ING’s
profile in Vietnam and Indonesia. He will also be involved in providing guidance
and oversight on any businesses in other Southeast Asian markets where ING is
not present on the ground.

Maspolim has more than 25 years of banking experience in the front office
leading corporate and project finance covering multiple sectors, including
power, utilities, renewables, water, waste and technology across Apac.
